The Syrian regime's capture of the strategic town of Qusair after
fierce fighting is a coup for Hezbollah and a major setback for rebel
forces that is likely to doom peace talks in Geneva.
Syrian state radio proclaimed Wednesday Assad's forces had taken Qusair after a night-time assault spearheaded by Hezbollah fighters.
