Bobbing Obama leaves Putin holding the Syrian powder keg

Here is Andrew Sullivan writing in today's Sunday Times in London. He makes the decent point that that, for all his vacillation, Obama now finds himself with the chance of a diplomatic triumph in Syria: the elimination of the chemical weapons stockpiles, resumed peace talks, a collaborative relationship with Russia, and the war party in Washington sidelined. All without firing a shot. Quite reminds one of the Cold War.
