Preface: This essay does not dwell on the fact that 9/11 was entirely foreseeable … including Al Qaeda’s plans to fly planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon.  It does not address questions about whether or not 9/11 was allowed to happen, nor potential war crimes committed by Obama administration officials or officials in other administrations.   It focuses solely on the post-9/11 statements and actions by U.S. government officials in connection with the Iraq war.
