Lockerbie deal leaves no clean hands
The release of Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the only person convicted in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270 people, has stained reputations on both sides of the Atlantic. Despite the contrived protests, British and American oil companies will still be knocking on doors in Tripoli - and finding them opened. - Ian Williams (Aug 25, '09)
