Risky Business
You've
probably heard the expression, "Perception is reality." Similarly,
one's concept of risk is significantly affected by personal experience
and knowledge. Nuclear power is often perceived as too risky compared to
other types of non-emitting power production, but we know it is not.
So, how do we effectively communicate about the risks of nuclear? How
does our understanding of risk in the nuclear industry impact our
practices and performance? What are the next steps toward risk-informed
decision
making.
