Arabia has sidelined its veteran intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin
Sultan, as leader of the kingdom's efforts to arm and fund Syrian
rebels, replacing him with another prince well-regarded by U.S.
officials for his successes fighting al-Qaeda, Saudi royal advisers said
this week.

Arabia is in talks with Pakistan to provide anti-aircraft and
anti-tank rockets to Syrian rebels to try to tip the balance in the war
to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad, a Saudi source said Sunday.
Report: New Free Syrian Army Commander Trained in Israel:
The
new commander of the anti-Damascus militancy group, the FSA,
Abdul-Ilah al-Bashir has been trained in Israel, media reports said.
Syria insists on its 'sovereignty' in UN aid resolution:
Syria
said Sunday it is ready to cooperate with a rare UN Security Council
resolution to allow humanitarian access, so long as it respects "state
sovereignty."
