CEOs tell lawmakers to find a debt fix
A
coalition of anti-deficit groups has recruited more than 70 big-company
CEOs, and raised more than $29 million, for a lobbying and advertising
push intended to encourage lawmakers to find a solution to America's
debt and deficit woes. The group will run "fix the debt" ads once the
election is over and in the meantime is hosting bridge-building dinners
to which top Democratic and Republican lawmakers are invited. "Congress
and the administration do tend to perform better when the pressure is
on," says UPS chief Scott Davis.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390443696604577647421093061792.html?mod=dist_smartbrief
