100th anniversary on June 28 of the assassination in 1914 of Austrian
Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
after which Europe rapidly descended into what became World War I, and
later, arguably, World War II, gripped me.
