Foreign security software off China's government procurement list - Xinhua A
Chinese government procurement agency has excluded Symantec and
Kaspersky, two foreign security software developers, from a security
software supplier list. According to a report from Beijing Youth Daily,
all the five antivirus softwares in the list are from China, including
Qihoo 360, Venustech, CAJinchen, Beijing Jiangmin and Rising. China's
homegrown technology companies also got the better of their foreign
counterparts in the personal computer operating system supplier list,
making Microsoft the only foreign brand.http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/china/2014-08/03/c_133528178.htm?utm_source=The+Sinocism+China+Newsletter&utm_campaign=d654fb4ad7-The_Sinocism_China_Newsletter_08_04_14&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_171f237867-d654fb4ad7-29615013&mc_cid=d654fb4ad7&mc_eid=5935182a65
