US economy adds 165,000 jobs in April |
The US economy added 165,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate fell to 7.5 per cent, exceeding analyst expectations. Employment data for the last two months was also revised upwards. February's already strong report of 268,000 new jobs were revised to 332,000 and March's figures increased to 138,000 jobs from an initial reading of a meagre 88,000. http://link.ft.com/r/R5WAEE/ |
