Several hundred university students from the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi have quit their studies to join al-Qaeda training camps in the tribal areas, Asia Times Online has learned. The students belonged to a union affiliated with the country's most influential Islamic party, and the exodus is being painted as significant as Kashmiri jihadis aligning with al-Qaeda in 2005. - Syed Saleem Shahzad (Jul 26, '10)
