AIG Bonuses and Wall Street's "Greed is Good" Values The "Greed is good era" is over. It died on September 15, 2008 with the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the right wing myth that if everyone looks out for his own self interest the "invisible hand" would assure that the public interest would take care of itself. More than Lehman Brothers went bankrupt that day. So did Wall Street's entire system of "greed is good" values.
