Readers will derive great interest from reading a speech delivered at MIT by Chas Freeman, the Committee's Chairman. Entitled "American Interests, Policies, and Results in the Middle East: Energy, Israel, Access, and the Containment of Muslim Rage" it highlights the vast gulf between the policy that one would have expected from a reasonable analysis of US interests in the region and the actuality of current policy.
