A Thank you note from Catholic Relief Services

Now more than ever, everyone should feel God’s love.

Dear Michele,

We’ve experienced the spectrum of emotions this year, haven’t we? Surprise, disappointment, gratitude, connection, desperation, love … all the feelings.

I’m with you. But today—this is a message about love. About gratitude. For you, Michele.

This year has been unusual and yet your faith continues. You have prayed and supported, cared and given—across distances.

Your faith, Michele, knows no bounds. Because that’s what being a Christian means: to help others in need. That’s how we connect to God’s heart.

"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in." MATTHEW 25:35

Will you watch this video of thanksgiving? For all the difference that has been made—despite this year?

A mother in her mask and her children at the beginning of the video.

This video just expresses it all—when there’s no words left to say but “thank you.” Thank you for giving when a typhoon hit the Philippines. Thank you for responding when a family was hungry in Zimbabwe. Thank you for your prayers and support when an explosion hit Beirut. Thank you for living out your faith each and every day during this pandemic.

Thank you, Michele! You’re living proof of God’s grace.

May your Thanksgiving and Christmas this year only be a time of cherished memories. Thank you for helping those who need it most—especially in a year like this one.

Peace and light,
