CRS Update

Thank you for giving to families all throughout the year!

There’s a photo in the news today—a devastating photo. A 2-year-old girl and her father drowned crossing the Rio Grande River.
For us—and for you—this isn’t about a political debate.
All any of us want as parents is to keep our children safe, provide a good home, a future, a life.
Imagine the sense of danger and hopelessness it would take to drive you from your home, carrying your children and little else. Imagine what it would take to make you flee your home—knowing the hardship and miles of uncertainty and danger that lie ahead.
The plight of families in search of safety illustrates the suffering and dangers so many face in their home countries, and highlights the need to minimize the violence, extreme poverty and other root causes of this escalating emergency.
When you donate to Central American families, your gift protects kids against trafficking, keeps children in school and youth out of gangs. Your gift aids small-scale farmers who face life-threatening drought, ensures young families can lift themselves from poverty and addresses the very root causes of flight.
Causes that lead to desperation and—for this father, his young daughter and too many more like them—tragedy.
Help Families Now

When you donate, you support Catholic Relief Services programs in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. You give families hope, safety and a future right in their own homes.
So they don't have to flee.

Peace and light,
