I have been searching in vain for any major US media coverage of
the substantive parts of the Helsinki event. Namely, articles on the
discussed extension of START, humanitarian relief of Syrian refugees,
Russian support the the Korean non-proliferation,
and the US - Russian deal to protect the Israeli "border" at the Golan
Heights--all discernable, but not clearly, from the spoken words at the
meeting. There may be several I have missed, but one gets the
impression that any professional coverage of what
exactly was and was not agreed to (including the difficulty to get
Administration officials to explain them) is now "treasonous."
One of the many penalties of the Trump presidency is that it is now
impossible to talk about a re-détente with Russia without enduring
scorn not just from the TV "news" magpies but also the serious printed
press, or rather whatever is left of it. Despite
the hideous and moronic nature of the Trump presidency, it still needs
to be addressed.

Because we don't know what they discussed in a one-on-one meeting, and neither the press nor anyone else is clairvoyant. All we have is what's been spun in the joint press availability. All those topics you mentioned were covered, albeit perfunctorily, so the transcript is all we have, and defies "analysis."
If Trump's aides had had any clue as to what had been actually agreed, they would be happily spinning it in press briefings and releases.
But so far, crickets....
