I am writing to remind you to join the
Friars of the Atonement in celebrating the Feast of St. Peregrine Novena
of Masses beginning on May 4th and concluding May 12th. Join us in seeking the powerful intercession of St. Peregrine, Patron Saint of cancer patients.
St. Peregrine has always shown himself to
be willing to help those who seek his intercession. My hope is that you
will find comfort, hope and strength through your friendship with this
beloved saint.
When faced with constant pain or the
seeming hopelessness of a serious disease like cancer, we have to reach
deep into ourselves to find strength and courage to hope and heal. These
are the times when we turn to our community of faith for the help and
support we need.
The Friars and I are ready to pray for your healing or that of someone dear to you. Will you please send your special intentions for yourself and any loved ones to me now so they can be included?
After being the beneficiary of Christ's healing
touch, St. Peregrine dedicated his life to healing ministries and has
been credited with a great number of miraculous cures. Likewise, much of
what the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement do is spiritual healing.
If possible, I pray, will you include a generous offering
to help our Friars continue our work with cancer patients, those
afflicted with HIV and others facing chronic or terminal illness?
Without the generosity of people like you, the work we do would be
impossible.
Thank you for continuing to support our ministries! Please send your intentions to me now, so your needs or the needs of your loved ones can be included in our special Novena of Masses to St. Peregrine.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Robert Warren, S.A.
Spiritual Director
P.S. Your generous donation is deeply appreciated! If you possibly can, will you please send an offering of $20 or more? In thanks, we will light a special votive candle on the Holy Mountain of Graymoor on behalf of your special needs. Thank you!
