If I may add, to the militarists in the U.S. national security organs (Solzhenitsysn’s term seems appropriate in this context), a belief that the Constitution must be upheld is ipso facto evidence of “self-radicalization.” And just like the East German Stasi in the later years when East Germany tried to present itself as “rule of law” state, there is so much illegality now committed by the organs, that a big concern was that one of their colleagues would reveal their illegality to the public."
