British Accuse David Miranda, Glenn Greenwald's Partner, Of 'Terrorism'

This provides the clearest evidence yet of how spy agencies, battling public exposure of their brazenly illegal conduct, are prepared to criminalize their critics—using the "terrorism" label rashly.  This is a direct attack on the press and on democratic institutions by agencies which claim to defend them, but in fact demonstrate no consciousness of what democracy and the rule of law entail.
