UK loses triple A credit rating |
The United Kingdom lost its triple A credit rating after being
downgraded by Moody's Investors' Service late on Friday, in the latest
blow to the government's fiscal consolidation programme as it tries to
address the nation's rising debt burden. Moody's lowered the UK rating by one notch to Aa1 citing the the deterioration in the government's balance sheet and continued weakness in its growth outlook, the agency said in a statement. http://link.ft.com/r/FG6LAA/ |
