Does the Government Hurt Innovation?
Ensuring
that the United States is home to world’s innovators is our best hope
for a strong economy, lower deficits and reasonable taxes. Politicians
from both parties agree that innovation should be our national strategy,
but they often disagree on the best way to pursue it. Democrats
generally believe the government must do more to fund research, provide
better education, subsidize targeted innovation, and provide tax
incentives to innovate. Republicans focus on predictable and lower
overall taxes, free trade and less bureaucracy.
