U.S. Must Follow Through on Economic Statecraft
By: Alexander Benard | BriefingLast week, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered an address on "economic statecraft," announcing that the U.S. will update its foreign policy priorities to include economic considerations, in order to strengthen our standing abroad and our economy at home. Clinton is right to draw attention to these issues. It is time the U.S. recognized that it must do more to advocate for its private sector.
