Four "elder" statesmen - headed by former United States president Jimmy Carter - were not granted the courtesy of a meeting with Kim Jong-il during their visit this week to North Korea. The Dear Leader did send them a message, though, which was triumphantly touted by the group as a possible breakthrough in non-stop North-South confrontation.
