Taliban and al-Qaeda: Unfriended?

Strip away all the gloss about stability in South Asia. There’s one reason and one reason only for the U.S. war in Afghanistan: the Taliban’s partnership with al-Qaeda. Only now a new report, connected to an adviser to the Obama administration, finds that the Afghan extremists aren’t so fond of their old international terrorist allies anymore.
