Wisp of nuclear deal could slip away
United States President Barack Obama's outreach to Ankara is an indirect signal to Iran that a wisp of compromise could be in the air over upcoming nuclear talks in Istanbul. Failure on Obama's part to maintain political will, consistently demonstrate "good faith" and allow a direct role for Turkey would only harden deep-seated suspicions in Tehran. - Kaveh L Afrasiabi (Jan 3, '11)
