Chalabi takes center stage in Iraq

Ahmad Chalabi, the chairman of the government's Justice and Accountability Commission, has been at the center of much of the uncertainty in Iraq in the run-up to the March 7 elections, from banned candidates to boycott fears. The man who championed Washington's toppling of Saddam Hussein is today accused of being Iran's top ally in Baghdad, doing the most to spoil US hopes for a politically stable Iraq. - Charles Wreckage (Mar 3, '10)
