New York Massacre; Pakistan Taliban says ‘We did it’
Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud has claimed responsibility for Friday’s massacre at New York’s Immigration Service Center in which a gunman killed 12 innocent people.
According to reports coming out of Pakistan, the commander of Pakistan Taliban, Baitullah Mehsud has claimed responsibility for the attack at an immigration center in New York City where a gunman killed at least 12 people.
Taking responsibility for the attacks, the Taliban leader said that the attack was carried out by a person of Pakistani origin on orders from Mehsud to avenge the airtstrikes carried out by US against its militants.
“I accept responsibility. They were my men. I gave them orders in reaction to US drone attacks,” said Mehsud to a news agency from his secret hideout in tribal region of Pakistan Afghanistan border.
On Friday, a gunman opened fire at unarmed people in New York’s Immigration Service Center killing over 12 persons. According to policy, the gunman later shot himself dead. And while the authorities confirmed that the gunman was of Asian origin, they have, so far, not been able to confirm his nationality.
The claim by Pakistan Taliban chief comes just days after US President, Barack Obama ruled out the possibility of sending US troops inside Pakistan to carry out operations against Taliban and Al Qaeda are believed to have found safe heaven in remote tribal belt near Pakistan Afghanistan border. If the claim is proved, then it may increase pressure on Barack Obama to rethink on taking the ‘war on terror’ inside Pakistan.

Maybe tomorrow he'll take "responsibility" for the snowstorm that's going to hit More at

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The FBI on Saturday ruled out Pakistani Taliban militant leader Baituallah Mehsud's claim that he was responsible for an attack on a U.S. immigration assistance center in New York state in which 14 people were killed.
"Based on the evidence, we can firmly discount that claim," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said.
A man armed with two handguns killed 13 people at an immigrant services center on Friday before apparently turning the gun on himself, authorities in Binghamton, New York, said.
Representative Maurice Hinchey, whose district includes Binghamton, told the New York Times that indications were the gunman was an immigrant from Vietnam.
Mehsud told Reuters in Pakistan earlier Saturday that his group was responsible. "I accept responsibility. They were my men. I gave them orders in reaction to U.S. drone attacks," Mehsud said by telephone from an undisclosed location.
Another day, another bomb, another atrocity committed in the name of Islam by those who believe that apart from them all other Muslims are "kafirs"as today"s attack was perpetrated on a religious place for Shia community.
Once again it will be agonising to listen to right wing Mullahs and their following in general public who still think that this is the reaction for America"s war in Afghanistan. Please wake up from your deep slumber and at least say that this is bad. If Pakistan needs something today very badly, that is the consensus on what we are faced with. This consensus has eluded us so far but with any luck there will come a point where the "thakedars" of Islam will take notice of the mounting piles of dead and say that what is happening to our country is wrong.
I believe that this is the main problem with the Pakistani counter terror activities that many of the own countrymen believe that this is not our war. I know that India’s RAW is paying these so called Jihadists to wreak havoc in Pakistan and to support such people who are in the payroll of our enemies is a crime in itself.
I would like to ask the readers of this site to comment on this issue today. When will the general public and some of our politician say that this is our war and we have to fight it?
