Japanese Corporation Issues WWII Apology
Japan's Mitsubishi Materials Corporation made a landmark apology (Reuters) for using nearly nine hundred U.S. prisoners of war for forced labor during World War II. Some twelve thousand U.S. POWs in Japan were put into forced labor during the war. The apology comes ahead of the seventieth anniversary of the war's end.
