Are We Really the Next Saudi Arabia?

Last week, major news outlets reported on bullet points that accompanied the recently released World Energy Outlook from the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris. Those new stories emphasized one of the Outlook’s predictions: that domestic U.S. oil production might exceed that of Saudi Arabia from 2020 to 2025, leaving us "all but self-sufficient" in meeting our energy needs.
