CRS Global Crises

CRS Emergency Response

Just as we saw this month when Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas, natural disasters are dangerously unpredictable. No matter where we respond—and no matter how quickly—the road to full recovery is sure to present challenges. It's the nature of our important, life-saving work that you make possible.
Families devastated by disasters fall vulnerable to disease and losing a basic sense of safety that you and I may take for granted. The good news is, preparedness can ensure a higher survival rate for people affected—longterm.
  • A higher survival rate means more children grow up with a parent.
  • It means more families have the chance to recover and rebuild communities.
During an emergency, time is never on our side, but you are—and we’re grateful. Learn about the emergency that you choose belowand please help.
