Chinese ship aims missile at Japanese vessel
Japan has accused China of aiming ship-based missiles at a Japanese naval vessel in the East China Sea in what it called a “dangerous” escalation of the two countries’ standoff over a group of disputed islands.

Itsunori Onodera, the Japanese defence minister, said Tokyo had lodged a formal protest over the matter on Tuesday. “This is extremely abnormal behaviour, and we believe with a small mistake it could have led to a very dangerous situation,” he said. “It was a dangerous action.”
