Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described the direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians as futile and doomed to fail.


Militants groups in Gaza have vowed to step up attacks against Israel in the wake of direct talks between Israel and the Palestinian authority. A spokesman for Hamas' military wing told the BBC that thirteen Palestinian militant groups have agreed to wage "more effective attacks" on Israeli territory
