Next head of 'Civil Administration' said Palestinians are sub-human
After the Oslo Accords, the Israeli army renamed the
Military Government of the West Bank the Civil Administration. MK Eli
Ben-Dahan was just appointed to oversee the Administration, which
oversees the theft of Palestinian land, settlement expansion and
controls the movement of millions of Palestinians.

Comment:
In an article published in 2001, I wrote: “The United States would
probably give unqualified support to Israel even if it pushed three million
Palestinians, live, through a meat-grinder.” While even the new Israeli
government is unlikely to adopt that approach to dealing with the “Palestinian
problem”, at least the Jewish Home members of this government would clearly find
nothing morally wrong with doing so if doing so were perceived as serving Jewish
interests and being acceptable to the United States – and there is still no sign
of American support for Israel, its occupation of Palestine and its oppression
of the Palestinian people becoming any less
unqualified.
Indeed, as the fund-raising phase of the next American presidential
campaign gets started, “unqualified support” would appear to be a serious
understatement of the sordid and humiliating reality of the Israeli-American
“special relationship”.
And Europe? Will it continue to view the threat of
properly labeling settlement produce on European supermarket shelves as an
adequate response to a country whose crimes were recently labeled by John
Dugard, the distinguished South African jurist and former UN Special Rapporteur
on Human Rights in Occupied Palestine, as “infinitely worse than those committed
by the apartheid regime in South Africa”? (A four-minute video clip of his
interview this week by Amy Goodman of DEMOCRACY NOW can be accessed at http://www.democracynow.org/ blog/2015/5/6/ex_un_official_ john_dugard_israel).
