A prayer for the people of Kenya

A prayer for the people of Kenya The world saw a great tragedy April 2 in Kenya when Garissa University College was attacked, leaving 148 people dead and many others injured. While we are grateful for the safety of Unbound sponsored friends and staff in Kenya, we mourn with them after the events that took the lives of so many of their fellow Kenyans.
In the face of such sadness, stories of hope can still be found. Kenyans are donating blood to help those still recovering from injuries. They are coming together as communities to console those who lost a friend or family member in the attack. Leaders from diverse faiths have lifted their voices to condemn the actions of the attackers and offer support to the families of the victims.

Lord, we pray for the people of Kenya, especially those who lost loved ones in the attack in Garissa. We ask that you fill them with your strength at this time. We thank you for those who give of themselves to help the injured or console those who suffered a loss. May peace prevail in Kenya and everywhere in the world, so that parents no longer lose their children to violence. We ask this in your name. Amen.
