NATO ready to intervene militarily to help Iraq:

Secretary General of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, announced on Tuesday
the alliance's readiness to intervene militarily to help Iraq if it is
requested by the Iraqi government; the request for assistance of the
Iraqi government will be taken into consideration, according to reports
