Are the days of economic prosperity in America behind us?
They could be, according to economics professor Robert Gordon of Northwestern University.
He argues in a new working paper Is U.S. Economic Growth Over? Faltering Innovation Confronts the Six Headwinds, that robust economic growth may be a thing of the past. The rapid progress made over the past 250 years could well prove to be a unique success tale for the history books, but not a sustainable path for the future.
