Planned Kansas Biodefense Lab's Cost to Top $1B
The U.S. Homeland Security Department on Friday said the expense of completing a biological defense facility planned in Kansas would exceed $1 billion, Kansas City Public Media reported (see GSN, March 5).Prior projections placed the expense of constructing the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility between $550 million and $850 million.
