Obama sears the arc of instability
What in the George W Bush years was branded the "the arc of instability" involves at least 97 countries across global south, much coinciding with the planet's oil heartlands. A startling number of these nations are now in turmoil, and in every single one - from Afghanistan and Algeria to Yemen and Zambia - Washington is involved in outright war or what passes for peace.
